Biography
Dr. Michael J. Hicks is a radiologist specializing in abdominal and pelvic imaging. He earned his M.D. from Michigan State University and completed his internship at Hurley Medical Center. Dr. Hicks served as Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Michigan and also completed his fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at UofM. He is an active member of the Michigan Radiological Society where he is the current Chair of the Young Physician Section.
An educator and leader, he was awarded “Teacher of the Year” for two straight years as a senior resident and fellow at UofM. His prior research interests include colorectal and breast cancer, with work published in several peer-reviewed journals. He is an expert in Prostate MRI and is actively working to revolutionize prostate cancer screening and diagnosis. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hicks enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, swimming, and making maple syrup with his family.
